baastide agent scripts
baastide agent scripts
Turn the backup scripts on or off on this machine
Synopsis
The "scripts" command turns on or off, on this machine only, the scripts that a backup policy runs before and after a backup. They are on by default. Without argument, it shows the current state.
With the scripts off, the agent does not start them. If the script before the backup must succeed (on failure: abort), the backup does not run and the job fails; otherwise the backup runs and the job shows a warning. The reason in the portal is "scripts are turned off on this machine". The BaaStide portal cannot turn them on again.
The state is the "scripts" field of the agent identity file. The next job reads it: no restart is needed. Run it as root (Windows: as administrator).
Exit status
Exit status is 0 if the command was successful. Exit status is 1 if there was any error.
